母亲节 (mǔqīnjié) La fête des mères en Chine est célébrée chaque année le second dimanche de mai, ce qui n’est pas le même jour qu’en France, à savoir le dernier dimanche de mai.
Ce jour-ci, les enfants offrent des cadeaux à leur mère. Dans l’esprit de beaucoup de gens, les œillets sont considérés comme l’une des fleurs les mieux adaptées à leurs mères.

En Chine, nous avons une expression « 百 善 孝 为 先 bǎi shàn xiào wèi xiān » (La piété filiale est la plus importante de toutes les vertus). C’est un comportement de tout du long de la vie.
Ce jour-ci, les enfants vont préparer des cadeaux, des cartes de vœux ou des œillets pour leurs mères.

Au Guangdong, à Hong-Kong et à Macao, influencés par la culture culinaire traditionnelle locale, les enfants vont souvent dans des maisons de thé ou des restaurants à proximité pour célébrer ce jour avec leurs mères.
En Chine, nous avons beaucoup d’histoires et de poésies pour louer l’amour de la mère pour leurs enfants. Voici une poésie chinoise par MENG Jiao.

Elle coud un vêtement pour son fils qui part en voyage
Elle fait des points serrés, répare avec soin
Car elle craint qu’il ne reste absent bien longtemps
Combien d’amour une herbe garde-t-elle dans son cœur
Pour remercier le soleil de tout un printemps?
